Elizabeth Cameron studied at Bangor University where she attained a Bachelor of Music degree and a Masters in Music specializing in performance. In September 2002, after 3 years working as a secondary school music teacher, Elizabeth entered Trinity College of Music. She obtained her Post Graduate Diploma in 2003 and having gained the highest mark for her Advanced Diploma recital in July 2005 she was nominated to take part in Trinity College of Music Gold Medal Competition. She now studies voice with Arwel Treharne Morgan and works throughout the country as a freelance opera singer.
Solo performances include Bach’s B Minor Mass, Haydn’s Harmoniemesse and Mendelssohn’s Elijah with Bangor University choir and orchestra in 2009. Elizabeth also regularly gives recitals in venues throughout the UK.
Operatic experience includes Sister Genevieve and Nella in Opera Anywhere’s production of Suor Angelica and Gianni Schicchi, the Mother in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Musetta in La Boheme for Windsor and Eton Operatic Society and the Mother in Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel for Runaway Opera. In 2008 and 2009 Elizabeth performed with Scottish Opera in their productions of Smetana's The Two Widows, Verdi's La Traviata, Massenet’s Manon and Donizetti's The Elixir of Love. In 2009 she also sang in Buxton Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Company's double bill performances of HMS Pinafore and Trial by Jury.
Elizabeth will be singing in Puccini's La bohème with Scottish Opera this year.
